Faces of death from Aug 10, 2012

Faces of death
Faces of death2
Faces of death, the first was related to birthdays, and the idea of being one more year closer to death, with a drop of obesity and diabetes. I had to do the ice-cream again because it was so enjoyable. The second was a summery of all my leftover ideas, for a while a had an idea of a series of "faces of death" and if any good ones come by me I may retry it.

Forbidden fruit from Aug 6, 2012

Prismacolor pencil on black A4 paper.

Two skulls face to face creating the inner flesh of an apple. Apple seeds for eyes. Green, purple glow for a background.

Apple, Forbidden fruit, I had Snow White in mind but that's due to the movie advertised everywhere at the time.

Forbidden fruit  would have been a better title, but Apple is the original tittle.
When I had the idea of two skulls merging to make the apple and to have the seeds for eyes, I thought it was genius, and had to write it down straight away.
So many times an idea strolls by and if you don't take note of it, it can be gone, never knowing it ever happened.

Princess Daisy produces a soft serve ice cream from May 9, 2012

Princess Daisy produces a soft serve ice cream from her anus. I am very happy with the out come of the ice cream and I think I will do more of them in the future. The crown didn't seem to cut it to identify her, so I threw sprites in down the bottom, with Luigi's arm being devoured by turtles. But it is Daisy's crown, and princess Peach has a different crown and is blonde.

The only problem I have is with the power-up sprites, and it's a personal thing. The sprites to me have to be identical to that as the game, it really puts me off if they are wrong, not just these sprites but any sprites from Mario, Zelda to Chun Li in Street Fighter, and that makes it a little uncreative, and unoriginal. I'm just copying them from pixel to pixel, something some one else has designed, the outcome looks and feels good, but it is something anyone can do, and if I put my own spin on the spites they look and feel wrong. I guess it's the nostalgia I crave from seeing these icons of pixels. I must say Super Mario Brothers 3 was a highlight of my youth.

And "WTF is this shit... this is just flat out porn", and if you masturbate to it I guess it is, but there is a beauty in the female body, from head to foot. It may be only biological, but I really enjoyed drawing this.

scissors from Apr 15, 2012

Working on a piece or in this case multiple pieces that I would not usually do and would not create of my own free will, (but my will can be bought,) does inspire other things to do. Usually after I finish something, the next drawing I work on is pretty much the same thing, like an after thought, or an echo, and most of my drawings have been a chain of events, an evolution of the last. But finally a commission job has come along to cut this chain. I find this happens a lot to me when  I'm doing something I don't want to do, ideas come, actual original ideas of stuff I could be doing, the brain is cruel. When I have nothing to do, I have no ideas, but thankfully after this job, some thing new and more importantly different should arise and pull me out of the girl gagging rut.

W.I.P of the Crawler from Mar 30, 2012

I love the progress shots, the step by step of other's work (in progress), even in video format, though I do like to see what is going on in those videos, not to have it flash before my eyes in a magical blur.

Prismacolor pencil on black A2 paper.
Though it is rather large, the drawing does look fairly average.
I was hoping for some more detail, like having every wrinkle, and hair, but the magic didn't happen, instead the head was about the same size as usual, as if the drawing was on A4 (4 times smaller).

I will try to make it all head one day.

2nd Sky from Feb 19, 2012

The progress shots for my latest painting.
The whole idea was to paint some nice clouds,
then have a girl gagging on some thing in the foreground.
The painting went pretty much as planned.

"Widow"
Acrylic on canvas

I have up sized my paper lately, from A4 to A3, which funnily enough now takes twice as long to complete, but I can fit in more detail.
The painting goes slower, it takes more time and will power, with having to set up and have/make time to do it. It's just that if there is less than an hour spare time, it's not worth starting with about 20 min clean up time to the air brush, and 20 min start up time, (making coffee getting all the gear out, not just the airbrush but laptop, and filling the air tank takes time too, because I use a tiny but quiet air compressor now,) but I have had a few good 4 to 6 hour windows this month to get into it, finally completing something last week, now I only have to vanish it. But it was a bit of a fiasco, with starting on one painting "this will never happen" then finally realizing the whole painting was not going to work out how I wanted it to, then painting over it and starting again, trying new things can suck, and if I ever have the spirit I will draw the whole thing instead, for one of those "I have no idea what to do today" days.

portrait of Sasha Grey

All are A4 in size, 210mm x 297mm (8.27in x 11.69in) back then, (now being 2021) I was banging out any and every idea that came to me, which all I like.
The spider bra is a special one for me, and still today, 10 years later, when ever I see a spider's abdomen I think that it would look cool supported in a bra.

July 2011

Zelda
I love fan art and  I thought I'd do another to go with the 25th anniversary, it the biggest colour pencil drawing I've ever done, and at a size A2 it was a pain to scan with my scanner only capable of scanning A4, so you know I glued it all together on photoshop but some how they were not in sync and here and there it would just not line up!
A Link to the Past was a big influence, I thought human hearts were clever with Ganons face in the clouds. And I'm filling up that empty pace with monarch butterflies.  The sprites were effective but took too long to produce, I could have put more in than six. Link is not even present.

Neck
I've quit on this one, it was not going the way I wanted it to, so I've aborted. But it still looks ok so I've put it up anyway.

She Ra
"She Ra" prismacolor pencil on black paper A3.
It's She-ra on the battle Kitten, I just like Skeletor more than Hordak, the whole thing I think looks cute
and the kitten influence has started to burrow its way into my subconscious

heart

I wanted to draw The Heart because of the girls face, eyes and smile. Back then I put a monarch butterfly on everything where it felt like empty space. I do like the monarch butterfly but today (2021) I've moved on to moths.

cutewars2

At this point in time, I'm having trouble at not drawing kittens, I blame the internet and LOLcats and the Nyan Cat aka Pop Tart Cat

June 2011

cutewars
And I think it has ended before it even began with this idea of cutewars, which was just cute animals in planes shooting each other. The ducklings I tried were too creepy. The idea came to me at work, but starting as someone in a rowboat rowing across the skies, then pirates, then kitten and duckling pirates smoking cigars and having eye patches, then the ducklings and fighter planes, set out to kill each other, not unlike Frenzal Rhomb Guns Don't Kill Ducklings (Ducklings Kill Ducklings).
To think it took a week, with rough drawings and sketches to get this far.

new ocean
I drew this mostly to do the water, which I can never get quite right, but it's my best so far, often my goes at water are a giant mess which I abandon quickly there after.

There's no background again, I was going to have the face cloud like and have other clouds floating around, but it didn't work out and made the face a bit puffy and retarded. And I got the out line all neat at the base of the water pool and I wanted to keep it that way.

As usual it's prismacolor pencil on black paper A4

kittens!
Yes kittens, after drawing the cat in the airplane, I thought I'd jam a bunch of them behind a pinup girl. And I've been dying to draw a pinup girl for a while. But it did not (once again) turn out as I'd hoped, I wanted her lie on a bed of kittens,but...the kittens started to look distressed, and this was not the out come I was after, a woman "squashing" a pile of kittens, just a nice soft and cute bed of them.

Combustion
Combustion, atomic butterfly.
It goes any side up with rocket like butterflies exploding, or plunging into the water. It was funny with the waves as either way up they look like waves, when I stared this drawing I wanted the waves to appear upside down, but optically the inside of the wave became the outside so I just went with it.

The end of May 2011

Erotic Horror Murder Mystery3
I'd love to create book covers for horror novels. Sometimes I just make them up anyways. This is the third one I've done so far, well a drawing that looks like it could be a cover to a novel.

It is the first prismacolor drawing that I have done on A3 paper.

I just had to get that bubbling spit out of my system.

Boobs
A work in progress, A3 in size. I am almost done and look forward to it being finished, sadly halfway through this drawing I've had ideas for other drawings to do, and now I just want to get this out of the road.

Wip Gif from May 2011

I spent a week on this one, scanning it each time I changed pencils or had a break, so I could make a progress/animated gif. I hadn't made a gif in along time, so long in fact that I've changed photoshops and every thing was different and foreign to me. Sadly it seemed like I spent more time putting the gif together than drawing it, well it took like 4 hours of rediscovering photoshop before I knew what I was doing again.

Hopefully the next one I make will not jump all over the place and flash so much.
from May 9, 2011

I guess that'll do, I made the gif a lot quicker this time.

I'm kind of happy with the out come of the drawing over all. I did have low expectations and thought I may even quit and not complete the drawing. It was very much "why am I doing this?"

But when it came to doing the spit and bubbles I was more enthused.

That's the only reason I drew this, for the spit and bubbles...
