Julia, Centipede from Jan 26, 2013

Julia, Centipede
prismacolor pencil on black A3 paper, 297 x 420 mm, (11.7 x 16.5 in)

From the second photo shoot with Julia, I got a few good shots to use. But with all the pre-thought and planning with notes taken before the shoot, I still got only 5 usable shots like last time.

This is the first A3 drawing of Julia.

This was a good one, with a nice chain reaction of nose on chin and flows down starting with another nose on chin, fitting in four mouths. It slowly curves down, with the angle. I'm using multiple photo references, where a lazier me would use only one, and repeat it down, I was lucky to have the forethought to take multiangled photos of the same pose this time.
