Melinda from Nov 10, 2012

Melinda 2

Melinda 2, pulling cocoons from her eye, with a surreal, wooden, bio-mecanical background.
I like to use a lot of under lighting, that gives me that Frankenstein effect or ghost stories with a torch at a camp fire.

Melinda, is a good friend of mine, who was willing to do some modeling. It is not that easy for me to get models, I do feel like a creep, and do get shot down a lot.

Melinda 3, got more surreal, with replicating eyes and the wooden bio-mechanical free style. We had Melinda put her mouth under a tap and ran water, spilling from her lips, which created a nice visual effect, that once again I should do more often, even running water over the mouth upside down.

Melinda with a wooden background. I'm trying to capture the knots in the wood and the circling pattens around them.

We got a good many refence photos from the night. A lot of face pulling, and oral work, like hooking the mouth. Then it becomes hard to decide which shots to use. Like a kid in a candy store, but with only one dollar. I used to have a reoccurring dream where i was in a newsagency that was full of nothing but Mad magazines and I could only buy one, it was always very stressful.
